It seems to me like he was trying to take responsibility for a friend's happiness, who then killed herself. It's not very fucking fun to be in that situation, I'm sure his feelings for that comic were pretty goddamn far from smug.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6714810984552499396.post-25029136493042091142010-04-27T21:50:35.651-07:002010-04-27T21:50:35.651-07:00fun fact! people often say "I am stupid"...fun fact! people often say "I am stupid" to acknowledge a mistake they made.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6714810984552499396.post-78667551123820493152010-04-23T08:44:07.122-07:002010-04-23T08:44:07.122-07:00So loose the thing's flappinSo loose the thing's flappinjosephnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6714810984552499396.post-81049708885416148492010-04-21T11:35:31.837-07:002010-04-21T11:35:31.837-07:00Maybe you shouldn't take pride in being stupid...Maybe you shouldn't take pride in being stupid when you're trying to make a case against a "smart" webcomic. The first 10 comics are represented in the line 1 unit from the origin, numbers 11-20 are in the line 2 tick marks away, etc. How high the point is on the Y axis represents how many comics of that type appeared in the 10 day segment. So you can think of the y-axis as the actually number per time unit, as you request (though I went for 10 comics, about 3 weeks, rather than 1 week). But it can also be read in terms of density.Carlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01074589998141327538noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6714810984552499396.post-19309310608737408692008-04-23T18:58:00.000-07:002008-04-23T18:58:00.000-07:00Your x-axis needs to be labeled more clearly. I'd also be interested in seeing a straight number-of-this-type-of-comic-per-week graph as opposed to a density graph in order to get a better sense of the trend.

Finally, I'm tempted to argue against the nature of your dislike of the "cute nerdy relationship" comics, except that I kind of agree.

(Yes, I do need to write this as a comment while sitting three feet from you.)Kristenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05239346965965322170noreply@blogger.com
