It's not just that it's unrealistic, it's unrealistic in a specific way. That is, no one would ever talk about somebody's "Savannah ancestors" in that context unless they specifically meant to set up that joke. It's very obvious that this comic started with the realization that "Savannah" has two meanings and tried to shoehorn the word in a context where he could make a joke about it.
